How much does BasementBonsai cost?

It is free while in beta. Paid plans will be priced per listing.

Is BasementBonsai affiliated with eBay?

No. BasementBonsai is an independent tool that uses eBay's public APIs. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by eBay Inc.

How is this different from listing directly in the eBay app?

BasementBonsai removes the research and typing. Instead of identifying an item, looking up its specs, guessing a price and writing a description, you send one photo and review a finished draft. It also watches the listings you already have and tells you when the market has moved.

Getting started

Getting started is easy: securely connect your eBay account, then list items right from this page. Link Telegram too if you want to chat and send photos from your phone.

Use the same email address as your eBay account. eBay reports your listings and seller details against that address, so a different one will link to the wrong (or an empty) seller profile.

One account is required; the other is optional. Get the logins handy — you'll use them during setup.

An eBay account — ebay.com. Use the account that owns the listings you want to sell. This one is required.
A Telegram account — telegram.org. Optional: get your daily digest on your phone and chat over Telegram, or just use the chat on this page.
Your password to hand. You'll sign in once during setup.
Register here with the same email as your eBay account, so your listings link to the right seller profile.

We never see, store or pass through your Telegram or eBay password. eBay grants access through its own consent screen (OAuth) and we receive only a revocable token — never your credentials. We follow eBay's developer rules: developer.ebay.com/support.

Common questions

What is BasementBonsai?

An AI eBay listing agent. You send a photo of an item and it identifies the item, drafts an eBay listing with title, description, item specifics, estimated weight and dimensions, a suggested price based on the current market, and shipping. You review the draft before anything is published.

Will it change my prices or publish without asking?

No. It is propose-only. It never revises a price, relists, or publishes a listing without your explicit approval — it sends suggestions and drafts, and you decide.

Does it work with listings I already have?

Yes. Once your eBay account is linked it reads your active listings and sends a daily digest with market-aware pricing observations, flagging items priced above comparable listings or gone stale.

How do I connect my eBay account?

Through eBay's own OAuth consent screen — BasementBonsai never sees your eBay password. Tokens are encrypted at rest, scoped to the permissions you approve, and deleted when you delete your account.

How much does it cost?

Free while in beta. Paid plans will be per listing.

Is this affiliated with eBay?

No. BasementBonsai is an independent tool built on eBay's public APIs, not affiliated with or endorsed by eBay Inc.
